The 2nd International
Conference on Power and Renewable Energy, ICPRE 2017 has
been successfully held in School of Energy Science and
Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and
Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China on September
20-23.
ICPRE 2017 is technically sponsored by IEEE, and organized
by School of Energy Science and Engineering at University of
Electronic Science and Technology of China. The conference
was opened by the conference chair, Dean of School of Energy
Science and Engineering at UESTC, and then Prof. Ching-Fuh
Lin (IEEE & SPIE Fellow) from National Taiwan University,
Taiwan; Prof. Chan Siew Hwa from Nanyang Technological
University, Singapore; Prof. Lu Li from National University
of Singapore, Singapore; Prof. Udaya K. Madawala, The
University of Auckland, New Zealand; Prof. Masayuki
Morimoto, Tokai University, Japan; and Assoc. Prof. Jian Li,
University of Electronic Science and Technology of China,
China shared their keynote speech with us one after another
in the morning of Sept. 21 and 22. The program includes 20
parallel sessions (16 oral presentation sessions and 4
poster sessions), which provides a wide spectrum of
researches in various areas such as renewable energy,
micro-grid, smart grid, power management and control,
electrical technology, power electronics, power
transmission, automation, photovoltaic systems and
engineering, power system, electric vehicle application, and
system simulation. Participants are from China, Singapore,
New Zealand, Japan, Norway, Australia, Canada, UK, Korea,
Algeria, Nigeria, Iran, India, Thailand, Pakistan, Taiwan,
etc. 17 countries and districts.
